Agullers is a hidden gem in El Born, perfect for those seeking a quality "esmorzar de forquilla" without the long lines of other great nearby places like Cal Pep. The long counter creates a unique atmosphere, where you can enjoy a delightful selection of traditional Catalan dishes. The "Truita de bacallà" is simply perfect, prepared following the traditional recipe that highlights its rich flavors and fluffy texture. Engage in friendly conversation with Alex and the attentive staff while savoring your favorite wine or beer. If you're looking for a relaxed dining experience with exceptional food, Agullers is the place to be! I live nearby and cannot recommend it enough!

Agullers was one of our favorite restaurants in Barcelona. The selection of fresh fish was incredible. You would not think this tiny little restaurant would prepare such incredible food, but everything tasted fresh and was so simple in its preparation. That’s how you know the food was high quality, fresh, and well prepared. The staff was also a major plus. They were super warm, attentive, and caring. With the exception of us, all the other customers were regulars. They were treated as though they were an extension of the restaurant family. I could not recommend this place more. Although the menu is hand written in Spanish, they were more than happy to help us understand the their menus. Do yourself a favor and eat at Agullers
